The more I look at the bonus items available in the Game of the Year Edition, the more I would really like to have them (especially now with the addition of Heroes). What do people think about adding those items to the online store? These items include:

Tiger's Roar
Elementalist Focus Item

* Energy +12 (req. Energy Storage 9)
* Halves casting time of Fire Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
* Halves casting time of Air Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
* Damage +20% (customized)

Nevermore Flatbow
Ranger Bow

* Piercing damage 15-28 (req. Marksmanship 9)
* Lengthens poison duration on foes by 33%
* Damage +15% (when health is above 50%)
* Damage +20% (customized)

Rhino's Charge
Warrior Hammer

* Blunt damage 19-35 (req. Hammer Mastery 9)
* Damage +15% (when Health is above 50%)
* Armor penetration +20% (Chance: 20%)
* Damage +20% (customized)

Serrated Shield
Warrior Shield

* Armor +16 (req. Tactics 9)
* Damage received -2 (while in Stance)
* Health +30

Wolf's Favor
Monk Focus Item

* Energy +12 (req. Divine Favor 9)
* Halves casting time of Healing Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)

* Chaos damage 11-22 (req. Domination Magic 9)
* Halves casting time of Illusion Magic spells (Chance: 20%)

Soul Shrieker
Necromancer Staff

* Energy +10
* Dark damage 11-22 (req. Curses 9)
* Halves casting time of Death Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
* Halves casting time of Blood Magic spells (Chance: 20%)

* Damage +20% (customized)

...Come on...these items are so much better than the Prophecies pre-order items. Thoughts?

I would not like the idea of selling the CE bounus items in the online store...but I dont see a problem with selling the GoTYE items. I dont think that edition is a Limited Edition print.

I definatly think Anet needs to make more use of that store and the "upgrades" catagory.

While I'm for the most part against the "Item Mall" business model, I'd be fine with these as they've basically been sold already in retail outlets. Providing an online option to get them would be good.

I agree with Clone. I really don't want to see Anet go for the "pay for every single little bit of content" route, but for bonus items available in certain versions, I think its a good idea.

I also agree with thezed though. Collectors Edition items shouldn't be included.

Putting special things like these, divine aura, and holiday items in the store would detract from their specialness. If you want the items..... go buy the GOTY edition! It's still on sale ya know....

Regarding CE bonus items - Pets for Factions and Nightfall. Nothing in Prophecies.

I don't care if they start selling pets - what's the big deal? The ones included with the CE's should be put to sleep anyway.

My green skwarky kuunathing certainly didn't last long.

Then there's the emotes - in my view, if you can't sell it, it's not collectable. You can't trade your account, you can't trade your emotes, so who cares if someone else can buy them from Anet - would you really lose sleep over that?

The game dies as soon as the servers get switched off - why get precious over some temporary virtual junk?

- ONLY sell those items you get free and unlimited supply of when buying a publicly available package.
- DO NOT sell any items given for a specific achievement
- DO NOT sell any items you can only get once per account
- DO NOT sell any items which are tradeable to other players

Pretty much, do not let people buy for real life cash anything they can use to make a profit in the real game (that's just another way of legalizing purchase of gold for real life $). If you need to earn it, you can't buy it for $. If you can sell it for gp, you can't buy it for $. And finally, if it is an expendable item which is not replenishable by typing a command, you can't buy it for $.

Or better yet...

Why not just sell a collector's edition upgrade to a regular edition, for $10-$20?

You can already have those GOTY items, its just the skin that has to remain unique to the GOTY, so if it is is just those Blue weapons with those stats with Default skin then yeah go ahead, have fun.

But all special skins should remain special (with the full package)

There are items, like the Coke ones that most of ud we'll never see.

Make them just separate so people can buy them even if they are not Korean.

Collector's, preorder and special editions items should stay 'exclusive', but anythng else should be available to everyone, regardless of country.

I would pay around 5€ to get a nice set of quick weapons to give to my heroes until I get something better.
